Frequently Asked Questions

What’s the difference between GrimAge and PhenoAge?
GrimAge is an epigenetic clock based on DNA methylation patterns and is considered the most accurate predictor of biological age and mortality risk. PhenoAge uses 9 clinical blood biomarkers and is more affordable, making it great for frequent tracking. For the most comprehensive picture, many people use both.
How long does it take to get results?
GrimAge results take 4-6 weeks from sample collection. PhenoAge results are typically available within 1-2 weeks after your blood test.
Can I track my progress over time?
Absolutely! That’s why we offer before/after bundles. We recommend testing every 6-12 months to track the impact of your longevity interventions. The portal allows you to compare results over time.
Is the blood collection difficult?
The GrimAge test uses a simple at-home Tasso collection device that takes 5-10 minutes. PhenoAge requires a standard blood draw at Quest Labs. Both options also offer a home phlebotomist service for an additional $100.
What if I’m outside the US?
GrimAge tests are available in the US, EU, UK, and Canada. PhenoAge tests are currently available in the US and select UK locations. Check the product pages for specific availability in your region.
